Fun Under the Sea at the NC Aquarium
On Monday, I had the pleasure of spending the day with my son! As we drove to the NC Aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores, he noticed the American Flags EVERYWHERE! It was the perfect opportunity to share with him what Memorial Day means. It is much more than a day at the beach, a family cookout, and an opportunity to miss school! When I started explaining, he said, "Duh.... I know what Memorial Day is Mom. It's a time to remember all the military who have died for our freedom". He added that because we have so many military serving in our area, that we should be especially thankful. Of course, he was still excited to be "skipping" school to head to the NC Aquarium... and so was I.
We had a wonderful time at the NC Aquarium, followed by a day at the pool & beach, and then a big family cookout. We also remembered the men & women who have given everything for us!
