Wonderful Wednesday on the Crystal Coast!
I dropped my son off at Kindergarten this morning. Nothing special, but it is always a treat to sit on the floor and converse with a bunch of 5 & 6 year olds. They have so much energy and carry a conversation with such enthusiasm....It is contagious! I then met my sister for coffee at Starbucks (Lovin' some Hazelnut Lattes). After Coffee we headed back to the Morehead City Primary School to see our children perform in a school play, "The Night Before Easter"....And it was AWESOME! I can't remember the last time I smiled so big. I must admit, I had a lump in my throat the entire time, thinking that my baby isn't such a baby anymore :-(
After the play, I had a BOD meeting to run, and it went well. Lots to discuss, but nothing major. Then, I drove over to the 
island to stop by my church, St. Francis by the Sea. The ladies were making Easter Baskets for kids who are currently living in the local Domestic Violence Shelter....I feel happy to be a part of that gift, but at the same time, My heart breaks for a child that is ever hurt or harmed by a parent or loved one....I will never understand.
As I was leaving my church, I noticed that the Easter Lillies haven't bloomed yet (close, but not yet), and that many other volunteers who have left themselves anonymous, have turned our garden area into a colorful paradise. What a wonderful Wednesday it was!
