What Are Your Expectations?
When I married my husband ten years ago, we had been dating for almost five years. When I said "I Do', I already knew that he was never going to fill the empty toilet paper roll. I knew that he was ALWAYS going to squeeze the toothpaste from the middle, and I knew that if I didn't want to wear pink socks for the rest of my life, he wasn't going to do the Laundry either. When he said "I Do", he knew that my idea of cooking was pizza delivery and chinese take out. He knew that I would always be a neat freak and he knew that I was going to forever complain about the fact that he refuses to fill the empty toilet paper roll and squeeze the toothpaste from the middle.
Sure, We had certain expectations going into the marriage...You know, Honesty, loyalty, communication...a Partnership. We didn't expect the other to be perfect, but we had trust. We knew that their would be times we would have to learn. We knew that if their was ever a problem, we would work together to solve it. We knew that there would be challenges too, and we would handle those together.
