Look Up, Look Down, Look All Around.....That's what I am going to do prior to placing your home on the market. If I see stains on the ceiling, I'm going to ask you if the leak or problem has been repaired. I'm also going to ask you to have the stain removed if the leak has been repaired. I am going to look for cracks and I am going to look for Spider webs. I am going to look at the floor, is there any damage there? Are there any signs of foundation issues? I'm going to look at the
walls and windows. Are there nail holes, crazy paint colors, missing chair railing or crown molding, window leaks, broken latches, etc? I'm going to ask you to take care of as many problems as you possibly can. I am also going to look all around the exterior of the home including the deck, patio, boat dock, driveway. I'm not a home inspector but I can look for some possible concerns, I can offer some suggestions for curb appeal. If nothing else...I will recommend that you clean, clean, clean and Declutter! I know you are interested in selling your property, so you may not want to put a lot of time and money into the home. Just Remember, There are lots and lots of properties to choose from right now, and If I can see issues...The Buyers and their agent will too. Let your home stand out in the crowd!
